Welcome to SVST's 'Divine Season 9!' As we await the completion of our new performing arts center, Idaho Central Spokane Valley Performing Arts Center, we are returning in community partnership to University High School for our 9th season. Included in the 2024 season ticket package are Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic South Pacific and the 1950s iconic Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Our 4th annual Rising Stars showcase is currently available as an add-on for season ticket holders. Thank you for your support!

Set on an idyllic island during World War II, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic South Pacific intertwines an epic romance with one of the most beloved scores in the musical theatre canon. Based on James Michener’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Tales of the South Pacific, the musical examines the reconciliation of pre-existing cultural prejudices in the face of romance with the threat of war looming closer each day. Featuring familiar favorites such as “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair,” “Bali Ha’i,” “Some Enchanted Evening,” and “There is Nothing Like a Dame,” this musical is sure to enchant.

Experience the drama, passion, and excitement of Buddy Holly’s life story at the most successful rock & roll show of all time, from his meteoric rise to fame to his final legendary performance at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. Featuring some of the greatest songs ever written, including “That’ll Be The Day,” “La Bamba,” “Chantilly Lace,” “Johnny B. Goode,” “Everyday,” and more, this show is just Peggy Sue-perb!

Child Age Policy: As the premiere professional theatre company in the Spokane region, SVST strives to adhere by etiquette standards in place at professional theatres across the country. In line with Broadway practice, children under the age of 4 are not permitted into the theatre for main stage productions. Additionally, everyone, regardless of age, must have a paid ticket. Unfortunately there are no lap passes. Thank you for helping us ensure a professional theatrical experience for all patrons.
