Charitable Gift Annuity: CGAs offer guaranteed, lifetime fixed payments in exchange for an irrevocable charitable gift. If you make a gift of an appreciated asset, you will not have to pay capital gains when you fund the annuity. You may also benefit from a tax deduction this year and a portion of your payments could be tax-free.

The Feel-Good Way to use your IRA! Your individual retirement account (IRA) is a smart way to ensure your dreams for retirement come true. But did you also know your IRA can provide for the dreams of generations of area artists and youth at SVST?
-
IRA Charitable Rollover: Persons age 72 or older can roll over up to $100,000 from their IRA to a qualified charity like ours, which allows you to satisfy your required minimum distribution for the year and avoid taxes on the transfer. This may lower taxable income even for those who do not itemize deductions.
-
Here's how it works: If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can use the IRA charitable rollover (also known as the qualified charitable distribution) to make a tax-free gift to SVST/SVPAC. Transfer any amount up to $100,000 per year, and you'll contribute to a legacy project for generations to come!
-
Beginning the year you turn 72, you can use your gift to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution. It's a win for you AND the professional performing arts in the region.
-
-
How you benefit:
-
You'll feel good seeing your gift transform the lives of young performers and arts lovers.
-
You'll pay NO income taxes on the gift. The transfer does not generate taxable income or a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you don't itemize.
-
-
Not 70 1/2 yet?
-
When you reach the age of 59 1/2, you may withdraw funds from your IRA without penalty. You'll pay income tax on the amount you withdraw, but if you itemize your tax deductions, you are eligible to take an income tax charitable deduction for the full value of the gift.

Between Nov. 25 and Dec. 25, Walmart is giving customers the opportunity to round up purchases through Spark Good Round Up, then donate the change to a favorite charity while shopping on Walmart.com and the Walmart app. Walmart will match customer contributions 1:1, up to $1 million ($2 million total including customer donations). To have these donations go even further, Walmart is awarding up to 3,000 nonprofits a $1,000 grant when they receive 20 or more Spark Good Round Up donations, for a total contribution of up to $3 million.
Participating is easy. After a customer checks out while shopping online or in the app, they will be prompted to search for a favorite charity for their round up donations. Customers can also go to Walmart.com/SparkGood and search for the charity of their choice to receive their Round Up contributions.
